Steve was a freelance inspector for the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority before joining Mountain Leader Training UK.  Similar advice is available on a consultancy basis for individuals, clubs or businesses.
Benefit from Steve’s experience as a former AALA inspector.  Advice and training/assessment for all climbing and hill walking activities.
Steve produced risk assessments and safety cover for climbing based productions such as Adrenaline Junkie and Extreme Health Camp.

Steve has been delivering REC approved courses since 1998. His courses at Plas y Brenin were highly acclaimed and featured in various magazine articles.
Level One. Basic. (8 hour) First responder skills using the ABC of casualty management. Appropriate for a person who may be first on the scene when no fully qualified first aider is present but help is nearby. Cost £300
Level 2. Emergency/Mountain. (16/20 hour) Suitable for most National Governing Body qualifications, 2 or 3 day courses covering the main areas of first aid, and procedure when away from the urban setting where an ambulance may not be immediately available. No previous first aid training required. Cost £700/900
Level 3. Standard HSE. (24 hour) Including a formal examination, this is the level of cover recommended by the HSE for a workplace. An independent examiner is provided within the course cost of £1250 (Two day refresher course (12 hour) also available for revalidation of valid qualifications) .
