Working with Slovenian Guide Klemen Gricar, Steve was Head of Safety for this ambitious ITV2 project, which included a bivouac for 4 celebrities on a remote summit spire and a 150m rope slide across and equally deep gorge. Broadcast in 2005
Steve provided safety cover and some camera work for climbing and falling sequences in Verdon Gorge as well as Guiding in Chamonix. In September the team confounded critics by making a successful ascent of the enormous Salathe Wall on El Capitan, Yosemite.

Steve worked as location and safety manager for this successful project, filmed on location in Snowdonia
Steve’s first film, shot on location on arguably the world’s biggest rock wall, was screened at the Kendal Mountain Film festival, where it was awarded 2nd pace in the climbing and people’s favourite categories. An edited version has since been regularly broadcast on National Geographic as “Up Against an Avalanche”
Steve was Head of Safety for this ITV2 production. The answer, by the way, was “no”.
Steve was team leader in the advanced team during the first successful descent of Borneo’s notorious Lows Gully, filmed for Discovery Channel.
